New year, new skip hire machinery
EMS is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new first-rate piece of skip hire machinery. With the purchase of a reduced swing radius Volvo ECR145E, EMS will be taking waste management in Torbay to the next level.
The 15.4-tonne excavator is powered by a Stage IV Final four-litre engine, which helps drive the excavator to an impressive 121 net horsepower. Due to the enhanced hydraulic system, the excavator also has a much faster cycle time, meaning that the job will be done before you know it!
This increased capability will be fully utilised by assisting with the task of sorting incoming material. The hydraulic rotating selector grapple will boost the current capacity for sorting recycling and help drive the process forward.
Not only that, this increased performance will help to increase the amount of refuse that is recycled throughout the wider Torbay area including Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, helping keep these areas green. This increase in efficiency will be married with a substantial noise reduction thanks to the rubber blocks that are fitted to the excavator’s standard steel tracks. This makes less noise and also protects the surface the excavator works on. The decrease in noise is also boosted by the precision scissor grab that ensures the sorting process and waste handling is much more accurate.
The other key advantage of the ECR145 is its flexibility in narrow and awkward spaces. The short swing radius means the excavator is not limited to large building sites and open areas, ensuring that no matter the waste you need cleared, the ECR145 has the potential to help. This makes it the perfect tool for urban waste clearance.
That does not mean it’s limited to cities either. Combined with the increased tractive force and Tier 4 Final Engine, it is also well suited to uneven terrain making it ideal for any rural areas requiring clearance. This makes it one of the finest all-round tools in the waste management industry.
This new machinery underlines EMS as the first name in waste management throughout Devon. Long known as a reliable and effective waste disposal solution, EMS is always looking to improve outcomes for all customers – whether private individuals, SMEs, or larger organisations. With bespoke waste management solutions tailored to each business, the new Volvo Excavator will only help boost the already high standard our customers have come to expect.
